Mikro Depot: Discover New American Flavors in Hamden, CT

Situated on the Farmington Canal Heritage trail, it's a perfect spot to grab a bite (or two, or three!) and a cold beer while mid-exercise. The inside of this place is unique and reminiscent of a lodge, and you really can't go wrong with any of the food here. Indoor and outdoor seating is available (weather-permitting), and there's a small parking lot for those with vehicles. Close to other attractions like Quinnipiac and Sleeping Giant. MiKro Depot has something for everyone!

Third time here and nothing but goodness! The menu is great. The salt & vinegar onion rings are to die for. Great specials! Service is quick and friendly.

Very cool atmosphere. It was our holiday party. The staff is very tentative. The food was delicious! I really liked the buffalo wings, they have such a unique taste to the them. Restrooms are clean, which in my opinion, tells you how the owners feel about their place. I'll be back for sure!

Perfect hide away located on a very well known trail and college lovely atmospere huge beer selection with a fully stocked bar"top self" and exotics. I had the steak great cut of meat well seasoned and prepared. Came with a very unique sauce. Very popular with the locals, and staff who are knowledgeable and friendly. Very beautiful scene inside as well as the outside railroad style patio that connects to the trail, perfect stop after or during your bike ride walk or hike.

We went to MiKro on Sunday night and overall had a really great meal. We didn’t see a kids menu (there may be one, but we didn’t notice it), which made ordering for the kids a little tricky at first. That said, it worked out just fine. My oldest got a regular burger off the main menu and absolutely loved it. My youngest split a burger and had a few pieces of chicken, and both kids were big fans of the fries — always a win. We started with the smoked buffalo wings, which were excellent. They were juicy, flavorful, and had a really nice smoky touch. The pickled carrots that came with them were a standout, such a great, unexpected addition that paired perfectly with the wings. I ordered the smash burger. While it wasn’t a traditional lace-edged smash burger, it was honestly one of the better burgers I’ve had in a while. Great flavor, cooked perfectly, and the sauce was delicious. I got a ceasar salad with it but snuck some fries. The fries (again) were really solid. We also tried the pretzel, a little small for the price, but very tasty. The cheese sauce was a bit underwhelming and didn’t add much, but the pretzel itself was good. The “Ahi tuna nachos” were ok, but nothing special. Overall, though, it was a really enjoyable meal and we’ll definitely be back. There are a few other things on the menu I’d love to try next time.

Went here on a Sunday night and didn’t disappoint. Smoked wings were very solid, wish there was more dry rub on there. Fried chickpeas were a very unique and tasty appetizer, would recommend. Burger was great, nice bun juicy patty good sauce, fries were whatever. Overall very cool spot and they DIDNT CHARGE FOR SELTZER WATER which is something other restaurants need to do. Great if you are craving a classic American style restaurant

Everything here is amazing. The staff. The food. The beer. The whiskey. Just…everything. Some highlights…Michelle, one of the managers, is the most hospital and friendly people I’ve ever met. She takes such good care of us - Alison, Ivy, the staff is top notch. The food is perfect. I’ve always left with a smile on my face.
